On Friday 5th May, the grade three and fours visited the Immigration Museum in the city. Students uncovered the migration stories contained in a collection of suitcases. The grade three and fours worked collaboratively to unpack different stories and develop a profile of whose belongings they discovered. We explored the hardship of leaving home, the journey, getting into Australia, immigration stories and finding out about the community.
In the coming weeks we are excited to uncover what our discoveries mean for us, the community and what it means to be Australian.
